That was when my daughter Dawn was pregnant w/my first grandchild, Austin. She would come and spend some nights with us. He was a beautiful baby, but boy he liked to cry. I was getting to know him pretty good, then we moved back to Ny. We moved back 2 yrs later. Dawn was living in ND then and by then she had another child, Tessa. I would go to to visit them once in a while. It was nice. I don't see them often enough. So we really don't know each other good.
But I still remember Austin being born and it is a nice memory. Dawn has two more children now. My son Nate has 3. Which includes a set of twins. I've been to NY to visit them. I have my memories of my grandchildren even through I don't get to see them often.
Comments:
Memories of marriage are mostly good ones! Of course my memories of my first two aren't so hot but I do love this one!
You do have a not of grandkids! I have only the two and see them every 4 to 6 weeks. Makes all things worth while!
You must be a few years older than me because I was only 5 when Kennedy died! I remember the funeral on TV and my older brothers got to stay home from school and we watched it. I did not understand a lot but remember that much!
Thanks for stopping by and playing Monday Memories today!
Sounded like a good memory though. Love the morning coffee moments. Yes, why does'nt that happen today too?
This world is going crazy with all the stress in it nowadays.
Sorry about not seeing your grandchild so often, but I'm sure they have you in their hearts just as you have them!
